About

Hello! We’ve put a lot into this website to give you a good understanding of GradCru. Hopefully your questions about GradCru will be answered throughout this website.

GradCru is for American and International Master, Ph.D. and Professional School graduate students, and for Post-Docs and Visiting Scholars. While most graduate students who are involved are single, there are marrieds, those with children, and many students of color. We are very active on campus in many different ways — and have a lot of fun together. You are welcome to participate to whatever extent you desire and what fits with your often rigorous schedule.

At our core, we are a graduate community that endeavors to stimulate and support each other to live out authentically and communicate meaningfully our faith in the midst of the University. And we want to think deeply about the integral relationship of our faith and our academics.

We value and promote 4E’s:

ENCOUNTER Jesus fully. (Romans 1:16)
ESTABLISH every Christian grad student in his or her faith. (Colossians 2:6-7)
EQUIP growing believers with effective ministry skills. (Ephesians 4:11)
ENTRUST maturing Christians to reproduce these distinctives (2 Timothy 2:2)

As you look across the top of every page in the website, you’ll see we have organized all that we do under the 4E’s. Below is a listing of many of the opportunities GradCru provides, and is described throughout the website. As you click on each of the 4E headings and then read about them, there also is a More Info” clipboard on the right with further webpages that you can click on and visit that describe the following opportunities:

Bible Studies for Men and Women • Groups of Three (G3) • Parties and Sports • Mentoring/Discipleship • Investigative Bible Study Groups • Equipping Seminars • Campus-wide and Individual Outreach • Grad Specific Day Retreats and Conferences • Ministry Philosophy and Ministry Skills Training  • International Mission Trips • Service to Others • English Speaking Club (ESC) • GradCru Internships and Staff • and much more.

GradCru Group Email: All these opportunities doesn’t happen simultaneously, so the best way to be kept informed about upcoming events is to subscribe to the GradCru Group Email List. Look for the clipboard titled “Get GradCru Emails” on the right side of most pages. You can self-subscribe to the automated GradCru Group Email List by submitting your email address and name (all GradCru emails allow you to unsubscribe easily from the automated list, so try it out).
