Group of 3

A Group of 3 is not a Bible Study Group. A Group of 3 is three graduate students who have joined together to stimulate and support each other to live out authentically and communicate meaningfully their faith in the midst of the University. Typically, a G3 meets for 40-50 minutes each week to discuss one or two questions from the G3 Card and pray together. Questions on the G3 Card are grouped into four areas: (1) Encounter Jesus Fully, (2) Established in Your Faith, (3) Equipped to Minister, and (4) Entrusted to Multiply. The questions will help you to consider your spiritual development and help you to develop and live with a missional mindset among your friends and peers.

A Group of Three can be three graduate students:

• From the same department who share a burden and vision for what God might do their department and want to trust him together.
From the same Bible Study group who want to pray together and reach out to their friends and peers together.
Who are in discipleship relationships with each other who want to how to minister more effectively to others.
Other combinations, but those who share the G3 Core Values.

To Start a G3:

• Three graduate students agree to meet consistently each week where it is convenient for the group to meet, somewhere that the group feels free to talk openly and pray without being distracted or overheard. Confidentiality is crucial if your G3 is to succeed.
Typically a G3 will meet for 40-50 minutes each week. Each G3 should designate a G3 Coordinator who keeps the group moving ahead and updated with information from the G3 Coach.
A G3 core value is to replicate your G3. Invite other grads to join your G3. When the third grad is ready to join, you split into two G3 groups. Each G3 then continues to replicate. Imagine the increasing impact of new G3’s meeting and ministering across campus!
